To use newSLATE on a PC running
       Windows 9x/ME/NT/2K/XP/Vista, or
       Red Hat Linux 7.2

Once the new version of MSIE is installed, restart your machine.  Then use the new MSIE to return to the newSLATE web site, and click on the "click to enter" slate graphic at the top left of any newSLATE web page, or click on the words "Java Web Start" in the links column on the left side of the any newSLATE web page.
